PENDING WORLD RECORD JAVA BARB

Thumb with his First Pending World Record, Java Barb at
Fisherman's Paradise Nichada Thani

Well we had planned a Trip to Khoa lam Dam, but we decided to add a challenge to the fishing, before we left to go fishing on Saturday Thumb had to set a world record at Fisherman’s Paradise Nichada Thani before getting in the car to leave.
Well we all meet up at Thumb’s House, we packed the car and set off to the Nichada Country Club, Thumb was fishing with his new Rod and Reel a nice piece that Ghai from Seven Seas Bung Sam Ran had sent over for him.
Well we tried a couple of lures, but sure enough a good old spoon was doing the trick again.
Fisherman’s Paradise Nichada Thani is a strange place where the java barbs take spoons, and they are Big here, we are happy to say that this rods first fish was a Record Breaking 2.15 kg.

But to tell the truth we were all a bit disappointed that it was a small fish, until we put it on the Weigh Station and found it to be 2.15kg breaking the current record by over 0.05kg. So after some photos and measurements it was off to the Dam, not bad as it was only about 35 minutes all up. It was a grand start to a fishing trip!

Here are the pictures of it being measured and Thumb Releasing it back into the lake.
Congratulations Thumb on your First Pending World Record, I have a feeling that there might be a few more on the weigh.
